We are seeking a pro-active, talented individual with a commercial mind-set to join our team for a position in Vancouver, Canada. The candidate will be working alongside the managing director in actively seeking and identifying business opportunities within ship sale and purchase (S&P), chartering, projects and maritime technical sales. We focus on dry-bulk, offshore, heavy-lift, towage and small-scale LNG segments. The candidate will be working with sales, marketing and business development as well as maintaining and expanding the company’s network of partners, customers and other stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Shipping, Transportation, Business Administration or similar.
Seagoing experience is an advantage
Keen interest to work in the maritime shipping & offshore industry.
Commercial business oriented mind-set.
International experience is desirable.
Fluency in English, both written and oral. (Japanese, Chinese or Spanish language is an advantage, but not required).
Knowledge and experience with BIMCO charter parties is an advantage.
Chartering and/or operational experience desirable.
Participate in client meetings and exhibitions local and abroad.
Structured and can work independently.
Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
MS office skills (intermediate excel desirable).
